This month has been off to a pretty crummy start. My friend Trace unexpectedly passed away on Thursday morning. We're all in complete disbelief since nobody saw it coming.
To add insult to injury, his family found out the funeral is going to cost $20,000! Here's the link to the GoFundMe. Trace is the second person from the left in the top photo.
If you guys could even donate just $10 it would mean the world. If you donate $10 or more and show me proof then I'll draw a sketch for you. (As long as it complies with my guidelines) At the end, I'll compile all the drawings into a sketch page.
Even if you can't donate, I would sincerely appreciate the signal boost. Trace was an amazing, funny, and helpful friend, and it's devastating to realize he's going to be gone forever. I want to do what I can to make this even just a little easier on his family. My family has already donated $175 altogether so far, and I would like to help even more.
Thank you

February check-in
- My January - January had its ups and downs. I'm not expecting this year to be a walk in the park by any means. But I've been really feeling those downs lately, man. I don’t have the energy to write anything else beyond the basics here. Just tired of everything. My goals for February: Work on my story. I've made some good progress so far. And to finish my big painting, or at least make good progress on it. - Watcher check-in - What were the highlights of your January? What are you looking forward to in February? Any plans or goals? Here are some random questions for you to answer if you feel like it. A ritual is being performed to summon you. What five things are placed on the pentagram? Favorite art style or movement? Favorite voice/actors? - Mini Feature -
New Year 2024 Check-In!
My December Not going to lie. I am really struggling with mental health. I've been really depressed lately and there were days that it all felt completely hopeless. Every day is different. It makes me appreciate the good days that much more. Good news: I've started making a habit of voice recording myself talking about my ideas, especially the more open-ended ones. I did a tally of my idea list and I have over 4,100 items now. There is no way I will ever get around to every single idea, but I am coming up with ways to make the task more manageable. I'm having a lot of fun exploring my ideas more efficiently, and it's good speaking practice too since I rarely ever leave my cave. I had a nice and uneventful Christmas break. It was spent on drawing, painting, and writing. I've recently discovered the joy of longplays on Youtube. I don't exactly sit and watch them, but it's comforting to have it in the background. Plus it's a way for me to appreciate games I've been wanting to check
December check-in
- My November - Went to the local anime convention earlier this month. I got an ita bag so I can show off my awesome pin collection. I always drop so much money on stuff I don’t need, but this only comes once a year and it makes me happy. Treat Yourself! Trying to visit more of my ideas. One thing I’m trying is sending scheduled emails to myself. Every day I get an email suggesting an idea from my list. By the time that day rolls around the idea is a surprise again. I signed up for a painting class next semester. I'm planning to finally paint on my bigger canvases (at least 2x3 feet). I've gotten much better with just making art without overthinking it. But in this case I'm still nervous because of the large scale and all the materials needed. Whatever I make though will be worth it! - Watcher check-in - How was your November? What is on the agenda for December? Tell me about it! - Mini feature - This guy keeps following me everywhere. What does he want?!
31 days of... [???]
I want to do my own thirty day challenge. I have a massive spreadsheet file with thousands of ideas and themes, and I'm going to need your help. If I were to publish a list of 31 curated ideas, what kind of things would you personally like to see? Here is a very small sampling of what's on my idea spreadsheet. Believe me when I say this is only the tip of the iceberg! Some different concrete themes, with example items from its respective category: Animals: Aardwolf; Vietnamese moss frog; Kiwi bird Conceptual: Statue garden; merry-go-round; lava lamp General character art: Bride with an owl; forest fairy; ancient Egyptian deities Plants: Cat and bonsai; firefly terrarium; overgrown tree Scenery: Desert aurora; moonrise; winter cemetery Next, some open-ended / abstract concepts: Horror: Autopsy; mutation; made of the void Weirdcore: 4am public access television; clowns; liminal space Poetry & Song titles: Follow the nightingale; snow howling; champagne supernova Shipping: Forehead
